Given that we are moving financial planning to the center of our advice offering, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic financial planning leader to provide strategic direction for our financial planning business, serve as an advocate of Carnegie’s financial planning services, and provide financial planning expertise as Carnegie’s senior planner in coordination with the firm’s existing Certified Financial Planners.
In this player-coach role, Carnegie’s Director of Financial Planning is expected to be a subject matter expert on a wide range of strategic topics, including but not limited to investment, tax, estate, & insurance planning.
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3+ years of relevant financial planning experience.
CFP® designation required. Other certifications such as EA, ChFC, JD, CPA are a plus.
Expert knowledge of eMoney, MoneyGuidePro or equivalent planning software required.
Ability to analyze and present complicated financial planning solutions to clients in a clear, actionable manner.
Leadership capabilities to envision, design and see projects and initiatives to completion and to carry out the overall mission of our financial planning business.
Act as a key resource and contributor on cross-departmental projects.
Excellent inter-personal, communication, presentation and project management skills with the ability to collaborate across the firm
Responsible for business development and implementation of short and long-range financial planning business objectives and strategies
Develop, implement and assess Carnegie’s financial planning offerings to clients.
Manage, train and mentor existing CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TM practitioners to deliver on short and long-range financial planning objectives for clients.
Create and execute planning-based analysis & recommendations in collaboration with Carnegie’s other financial planners.
Create financial planning content for internal use as well as client-facing use (through lunch and learns, webinars, blogs, etc.)
Keep current with financial planning, tax and estate planning solutions by reading relevant journals, going to meetings/seminars and attending relevant courses and conferences.
Perform other duties as assigned.
