Responsible for the management of content displayed on MedStar TVs and digital walls and various MAS Sites and creation of video content including patient stories, physician profiles, regional services, brand messages and general health related stories for use on various digital channels.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Ensures compliance with hospital/facility policies and procedures and governmental/accreditation regulations.
Builds and maintains partnerships with current media vendor and staff at MedStar Ambulatory Care Centers to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
Collaborates with the digital team to understand and prioritize digital video needs across all MedStar digital channels (MAS MedStar TV, Digital Video Wall(s), Social Media and Consumer Site) and provides regular progress reports and status updates.
Creates and maintains a schedule for digital video content creation and content management on MedStar TVs at various MedStar Ambulatory Sites.
Creates and oversees a multi-channel video strategy, in alignment with annual operating plans and marketing strategies, to drive patient acquisition, engagement and retention.
Creates and manages clearly defined process for creating video content for use on digital channels from storyboards to final optimized video.
Manages and repurposes content displayed on digital walls and digital TVs throughout MedStar.
Partners with key stakeholders to incorporate strategic goals into video content and production strategy for system wide services, regional services and entity marketing teams to cross channel and repurpose videos on MedStar TV, social media and the consumer site.
Partners with Creative Services and System Marketing to maintain the MedStar Health Brand as videos are produced and templates are placed on all patient/consumer facing channels.
Presents strategies, recommendations and outcomes (verbal and written) to digital team members and management.
Promotes, shoots and posts live video on various social networks to promote new services and technologies throughout MedStar Health and stays on top of the latest trends, tools and tactics in digital video production.
Provides best practice tips to digital content specialists as they participate in FB Live events (sound, lighting, camera position, setting and repurposing video content).
Provides training in iMovie to all Digital Content Specialists to encourage a video presence on entity level social media channels and consumer sites in alignment with patient acquisition strategies.
Shoots, edits and produces physician profile videos and timely Public Service Announcement type videos that enable MedStar to actively have a presence in prominent healthcare related stories and trends, as it relates to patient acquisition tactics.
Works with field and studio audio recording equipment and technologies, including audio mixers, hand-held, wireless, lavaliere and boom microphones. Monitors and adjusts levels as necessary and troubleshoots equipment problems and performs maintenance as necessary.
Uses data-driven insights to identify measurement tactics and KPIs. Measures content effectiveness regularly and identify opportunities for optimization or new content creation.
Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams as appropriate. Participates in meetings, serves on committees and represents the department and hospital/facility in community outreach efforts as appropriate.

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
4 years of experience with digital video creation. Experience with video production, editing and shooting. Experience in managing content on digital TVs using content management software. In-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of video production, be proficient using video editing software and be experienced in lighting and the editing/mixing of audio.
No special certification, registration or licensure is required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills. Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective one-on-one collaboration with subject matter experts and strong organizational skills and the ability to work in an efficient and streamlined manner. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs.
