The Salesforce Administrator is a member of the Enterprise Applications team and is responsible for partnering with the Virtual Team and Business Owners to bring innovation to life, bridging the gap between business requirements and technology. This includes automating complex business processes creating reports and dashboards, and training users on Salesforce. This position regularly interacts with the Virtual Team and Business Owners to drive innovation, efficiency, data, and continuous improvement of Salesforce and processes outlined in the Enterprise Applications RACI matrix.
The Salesforce Administrator responsibilities include managing the design, development, testing, implementation, support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Salesforce. The Analyst meets with the Virtual Team, Business Owners, and in some cases clients in identifying systems solutions to meet functional needs, streamline processes, and ensure the highest levels of availability, integrity, performance, and protection of Enterprise Applications. The Administrator will be responsible for technical implementation of security policies and procedures as defined by the Enterprise Applications group and CIO.
The Salesforce Administrator is a professional who has mid-level skills; performs the full range of responsibilities within the function under the guidance of the supervisor and members of the team; analyzes problems/issues of diverse scope and determines solutions; and problem-solving frequently requires analysis of moderately complex issues/problems with precedent and/or structure.
Responsibilities of System Owner:
Serves as the primary system administrator for the Salesforce platform and handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows and other routine tasks;
Accountable for tasks and systems outlined in the Enterprise Applications RACI matrix;
Responsible for the planning, direction and oversight of Salesforce for the College including upgrades, integrations, data, and system changes;
Provide consultation and Tier II-III support to the to the Virtual Team, Business Owners, and in some cases clients to resolve technical, workflow, and data issues as well as knowledge gaps;
Use ticketing system to record, classify, and resolve client incidents and service requests;
Partner with the Virtual Team, Business Owners and in some cases clients to develop reports, views, forms, integrations, etc. to move data in and out of systems;
Provide leadership guidance and management oversight for critical incident resolutions and root cause analysis;
Translate business requirements into technical specifications for projects to be done independently or by vendors and consultants and drive projects to successful completion;
Seek opportunities for automation and improvement of current processes resulting in efficiencies;
Work with application vendors, Virtual Team and Business Owners to schedule upgrades, enhancements, and security/regulatory patches;
Maintain and document Enterprise Applications in accordance with industry standards;
Assist in the design, development, modification, and documentation of applications security standards and ensure, with best effort, that data is secure;
Work with internal and external partners to plan and test the disaster recovery plan;
Collaborate with Virtual team and Business Owners and other technical staff to determine priorities, schedules, and mange required changes to supported systems;
Perform annual audit of users, profiles, and security;
Assist in training of new users and grow the Salesforce skill set across the organization.
Stay abreast of up-to-date standards and best practices for Enterprise Applications, project management, programming and query language, and tools through ongoing training and professional development;
Cross train with and mentor team members to improve overall administration of systems and applications to ensure efficient and effective delivery of technology resources;
Develop personal training plans to enhance technical, analytical and business capability.
Promote departmental culture of exemplary customer service though frequent communication, positive relations and prompt support;
Maintain an effective and positive system of communication between the Technology Center and faculty, staff, administration, and the virtual team of technologist.

Comply with federal and state regulations, college policies and internal procedures.
Recommend updates to college policies and internal procedures.
Bachelor's degree required
com Admin ADM201 certified.
Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity.
Real-Time Integration tool (Jitterbit preferred).
PL/SQL or SQL.
Ability execute data quality assurance.
Other Requirements of the Job:
2+ years’ experience as Salesforce Administrator, preferably at college or university.
Knowledge of enterprise applications from both technical and user support perspectives, specific to higher education preferable.
Strong organizational/project management skills.
Requirements gathering skills needed to create business and functional project or reporting specifications.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures to make recommendations for process improvements.
Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, end-users and staff.
Understanding of Agile (or other) project management framework.
May be required to work evenings and weekends in response to support and project issues to minimize downtime during production hours and to respond to emergencies.

Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Developer certifications preferred.
5+ years’ experience with a CRM, and data & analytics platforms.
3+ years’ experience with cloud systems.
