This is an exempt, full-time position, responsible for developing and achieving global revenue targets through strategic sales of exhibits, sponsorships and society programs. In addition, this position is responsible for growth and development of new opportunities to increase sales and optimize overall experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sell exhibit space, sponsorships and digital and print advertising by telephone, email and in-person meetings for all organization events and year-round strategic programs to a global customer base.
Develop and execute annual and ongoing sales plans:
Partner with Director, Global Events to create and successfully execute growth strategies
Identify comprehensive global sales offers and pricing by program and across the Society.
Analyze past performance data, develop prospect lists and provide weekly updates tracking against goals.
Coordinate with marketing to develop and produce materials such as exhibitor and sponsorship prospectuses and communications.
Establish and meet monthly sales goals
Assist in developing annual sales budgets and ongoing forecasting.
Develop and maintain sales prospect database for exhibitors, sponsors and advertisers.
Track sales communications and reporting in database.
Cultivate new sales leads.
Generate and nurture existing relationships to understand unique value propositions ultimately increasing sales.
Lead, plan, and manage the re-booking sales process including schedule and conduct appointments pre-show, onsite and throughout the sales timeline. Plan for and manage all on-site sales requirements.
Develop and manage exhibit hall floor plans with logistics team.
In collaboration with Director, Global Events, identify solutions to address market trends that impact the Society’s business and/or the industry it serves.
Assist with implementation of new and existing technology to enhance sales processes and fulfillment.
Maintain a working knowledge of the industry served by SLAS.
Maintain relationships with global customers to foster growth.
Understand and document the needs of customers event by event and organization wide.
Serve as single global sales contact for all exhibitors, sponsors and advertisers.
Work closely with event and sales coordinator to ensure deliverables are met.
Initiate sales contracts and follow up for signature as appropriate.
Develop and adhere to reporting schedule including but not limited to: payment tracking, engagement, renewals, sales, forecasts, historical wrap up reports and sales trends.
Accurately run ad-hoc reports as needed.

Experience with online exhibition management platforms (Cadmium, A2Z, etc…).
Working knowledge of customer relationship management platforms (Salesforce.com, iMIS, etc.).
Experience using project management software (Teamwork.com).
Ability to adjust work hours to serve global community.
Education and Experience
5+ years exhibit space and sponsorship sales or general sales experience.
Bachelor’s Degree or level of experience that meet job qualification requirements.
International sales experience preferred.
Telecommuting is allowed.
