Reporting to the Executive of Ambulatory Services and working closely with the Ambulatory Services team, Strategy, Construction & Design, USC Real Estate Â and the Integration team, Â the Associate Administrator is responsible for managing USC Care Medical Group construction projects, working with construction services provided by contractors, USC Capital Programs, USC Asset Management, USC Campus Facilites and outside approved vendors.Â This position supports multiple projects simutaneously that occur thoughout the outpatient enterprise including on and off campus properties owned or leased for Keck Medicine of USC and Â will assure integration steps are completed and will hand off to Director/Manager of the respective practice.
Minimum Education:Bachelorâs degree in a Health Care related field.Mastersâ degree in a health care related field is strongly preferred.Minimum Experience/Knowledge:â¢Five years of experience managing outpatient operations in a healthcare setting.â¢5+ years of experience in acute or ambulatory setting preferred.â¢Excellent people management skills; strong organizational skillsâ¢Ability to work with vendors, physicians and staff; â¢Good decision making skills; ability to bridge the gap between administrative demands, clinical needs and budgetary constraintsâ¢Strong analytical skills â¢Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skillsâ¢Proficient in Microsoft office and relevant software applicationsâ¢Working knowledge of information technology and ability to project manage information systems teamâ¢Familiar with the following:oCapital planning or capital project management.oFacilities management, planning and design principles, and construction delivery methods.oAll applicable building codes and regulations, including but not limited to, NEC, NFPA, Life Safety, JCAHO, ASMI, ANSI and OSHA.oHospital facilities and systems.oUnderstanding of contract documents related to the design and construction industry.oDeveloping policies related to design and construction.â¢Expert analytical, organizational and problem recognition/avoidance/resolution skillsRequired License/Certification:Fire and Safety Certification.
