Working as part of the APAC Global Markets legal team, you will play a lead role in implementing and coordinating the firm's Global Netting Policy in the APAC region
Acting as the main APAC point of contact for capital optimisation queries and netting recommendations
Reviewing legal opinions and legal advice relating to netting and collateral enforceability for legal, credit risk and capital purposes, to align with Basel III requirements as implemented by various regulators
Promoting awareness of applicable regulatory and accounting capital and liquidity requirements related to Basel III and Resolution and Recovery Planning
Providing advice on central clearing counterparties (CCPs) rules, procedures and membership and working with our internal Risk department to determine, maintain and where possible improve the exposure to CCPs
Assisting in the development and maintenance of the firm's global netting policy and collaboratively working with other internal business associates such as Capital Optimisation teams in other regions
Providing legal advice on, and negotiation of, derivatives documentation, working closely with the Prime Services and Contract Risk Advisory legal teams
Providing legal guidance with respect to global regulatory developments affecting the firm's derivatives, securities financing and clearing businesses.

Equivalent experience of 5 to 7 years in the legal field
Proficiency in negotiating ISDA, GMRA, GMSLA, Prime Brokerage documentation
Outstanding problem analytical skills and judgment, legal and regulatory knowledge, interpersonal and project management skills
Can effectively communicate with audit, regulators and finance management on regulatory matters, internal control, risk management and accounting process issues
Familiarity with EMIR, FinfraG, Dodd Frank, Uncleared OTC Margin Rules, Resolution Regimes, CCP frameworks and the understanding of the enforceability of netting in contractual agreements
Articulate and self-thinking
Ability to identify, assess and summarize legal and regulatory risk to non-lawyers
