AECI’s Springfield Headquarters is seeking candidates for an Associate Reliability Compliance Specialist in our Executive Division. This position is responsible for supporting AECI’s compliance assurance and oversight activities related to applicable North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and SERC Reliability Corporation (SERC) reliability standard requirements. This position completes risk assessments; develops and tests internal controls; evaluates newly acquired facilities and incorporates them into the AECI NERC/SERC compliance program; leads compliance investigations; coordinates and monitors all phases of NERC/SERC audits or reviews; ensures regulatory filings are completed; and provides training to staff. This position reviews and interprets compliance standards and represents AECI at industry sponsored events.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, and/or equivalent knowledge and experience
Utility regulatory compliance experience as well as an understanding of risk management
Previous utility experience such as operations, maintenance, engineering or project management is preferred
Understanding of transmission systems and power generating systems is desired
Strong attention to detail with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and/or projects
Self-motivated individual who possesses the ability to analyze and solve problems
Excellent organizational and communication skills
A collaborative team player
Ability to travel approximately 20%
