Job Summary/Basic Function: POSITION SUMMARY: The Digital Learning and Communication Coordinator (DLCC) will be responsible for developing and supporting the Center's online educational program delivery, including faculty support. The DLCC will also be responsible for developing communication strategies and content, as well as their delivery, across all media in promoting and disseminating information regarding the Center. The DLCC will report to the Center's executive director, working closely with the Center's assistant director.
Serves in an instructional design advisory capacity supporting the Center's fully online courses and faculty, especially industry expert adjunct faculty to ensure courses are properly presented and guest lecture videos are closed captioned and ready for use in conjunction with the LU digital learning department's requirements. Play a key role in the course production process, working with faculty, administrators and Blackboard support to ensure course revision and development deadlines are met.
Responsible for communication strategy development and delivery, including developing the Center's regular newsletter, handling social media aspects and sourcing and creating effective advertisements.
Website development and maintenance, utilizing latest technology and practices to assure CAPM messaging and information are effectively presented.
Film, edit and produce videos including from workshops and seminars both at LU and offsite.
Special project development and execution.
Administrative support as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: The ability to learn new programs quickly and to easily relay the knowledge to adjunct faculty for course development and instructional design support. Demonstrated experience in website development and maintenance, preferably using CMS. Demonstrated experience working on deadline-oriented video productions from inception to post production, preferably in a journalism or marketing environment. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent editing software. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully, working in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment. Must be willing to travel and work occasionally after hours and on weekends.
Preferred Qualifications: PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: At least 1 year of experience in online learning and instructional design. Bachelors degree in Communication, Broadcast and Film, Business or another related field. Experience working in higher education.
