About Michael Reese Health Trust
Michael Reese is a grantmaking foundation based in Chicago. We define health broadly: it is more than what happens in hospitals and clinics. Safe neighborhoods free from violence, affordable housing, behavioral health services in community settings, a living wage, dental care alongside primary care, access to social services – all of these things are critical to health and well-being. At Michael Reese, we work to improve the health, lives and futures of those who face the greatest challenges to becoming and staying healthy. We are grantmakers, collaborators and conveners.
In addition to making grants, we also convene and connect providers and thought leaders across sectors. We bring people together to break down silos and exchange ideas in order to tackle the complex structural, challenges that impact the health and wellbeing of the communities we serve.
