The Research Study Coordinator will oversee operations, coordinate and monitor data acquisition efforts, coordinate and train research assistants, and facilitate communication between institutions for multisite studies.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee operations of the research project, ensuring they are completed on-time and on-budget at start-up including obtaining IRB/regulatory approval, creating data collection forms and databases, managing databases, and working with grants administration to manage start-up costs and training of Research Assistants
Mange ongoing project activities including amending protocols, data audits, secure transfer of data to statistical team, troubleshoot issues in consultation with project investigators/PIs
Monitor budgets and assist with purchasing of materials and management of subject payments and assist with preparation of sponsor reports and dissemination of interim study results (manuscripts, posters)
Handle all project close-out activities such as complete IRB/regulatory close-out reporting, final sponsor reports, help clean and lock the final study database and dissemination of final study results
Supervise and train research staff and students by assigning and prioritizing work, monitoring participant tracking across data collection, assisting with retention efforts Handle HR issues such as hiring, training, renewal of needed certifications and medical clearance, conduct performance appraisals, approve time, etc., in consultation with project investigators
Provide project management and support, working directly with PI and attend regular meetings with research teams and with larger multi-site teams
Monitor overall "big picture" finances in conjunction with grants administration
Assist with grant proposals and work with investigators as needed including budgeting, writing, and reviewing
Complete other duties as assigned
Knowledge of execution and control of research studies, typically acquired through the completion of a Master's Degree, and two years' experience in coordinating large and/or longitudinal research preferred.
Successful candidates will have excellent organizational and communication skills.
