We are seeking a motivated and independent Research Project Coordinator to work with Dr. Nicolas Menzies, performing and coordinating a range of research projects. This position will conduct a variety of support tasks and projects, both administrative and research focused, and will work as part of a team in supporting successful project completion. This position will communicate with and provides services to a wide range of internal and external contacts. The Coordinator is also expected to anticipate and effectively resolve problems and provide timely updates to the supervisor on the status of projects.
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Coordinates, and has direct responsibility for, research projects or specific set of tasks related to the timely performance of these projects
Manage and support relationships with key partners and funders, including CDC and state and local health department counterparts; communicate and liase with Program Officers and sub-contractors
Coordinate all team meetings including creating meeting agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items following meetings
Assist in planning and timeline development to ensure successful completion of projects
Conduct literature searches and data searches using various sources and methods
Assist in processing, organizing and summarizing data, and reporting findings using a variety of scientific, word processing, spreadsheet or statistical software applications
Manage data requests and data use agreements
Analyze data using Excel, and may use statistical analysis software (i.e. - STATA, R)
Contributes to preparation of presentations, reports and manuscripts relating to projects
Work with Grants Manager for financial reporting needs and assists with the development of grant applications
Other duties as assigned

3+ years of related experience required; a combination of education and experience may be considered
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a public health related field, and interest in public health, preferred
Experience with Microsoft Excel strongly preferred
Project management skills preferred
Knowledge of basic research methods, experience conducting literature reviews, and experience with MS Excel preferred
Data analysis experience, familiarity with statistical analysis software such as R, and interest in contributing to manuscript and grant writing preferred
Highly organized and detail-oriented, strong communication and writing skills preferred
