The Department of Art at St. Ambrose University, Davenport, Iowa, invites applications for a one-year Teaching Fellow position at half time in Graphic Design beginning in August 2020. MFA or equivalent experience required. Teaching load is two courses per semester. Candidates should possess the desire to make interdisciplinary connections in a liberal arts setting and be active in their field. Light advising and departmental responsibilities are expected. Teaching Fellows will participate in the same support, mentoring, and training sessions provided for all new faculty at the university and will be eligible for professional development funding. Requirements: MFA in graphic design or a closely related field. Teaching load is two courses per semester. Applicants should have an understanding of contemporary design theory and be proficient in web/interaction design, typography, & digital illustration. Preference will be given to those with previous college level teaching experience.
