About the Opportunity: The Decision Support Analyst for the Professional Programs Division of the College of Professional Studies will work closely with the Professional Programs team to identify and conduct data analysis projects that will support the mission and goals of the College. S/he will provide support to key projects through database management, data quality management, computational support, and data interpretation. The Decision Support Analyst must develop an understanding of different research needs and analytic functions across multiple projects to best meet departmental needs.
Responsibilities: S/he will coordinate with key administrative offices, stakeholders and colleges on internal and external initiatives, seeing projects through completion. Utilizes data analysis to support strategic business decisions. Gathers data, analyzes and effectively synthesizes information, communicates processes that may be complex and cross-functional. Documents processes, troubleshoots, problem solves, and makes recommendations on process improvement. The Decision Support Analyst will act as point person for ongoing projects and maintain a database of upcoming projects. Works under limited supervision, with moderate latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Must be able to work well with many constituencies: students, faculty, academic coordinators, and program offices from Deans to support staff
Master's degree required
Proven experience with Data Analysis; ability to distill and convey findings clearly is a critical component of the work
Must understand, and be attentive to, the unique needs and behaviors of an adult/professional student audience. S/he must be able to understand the interplay between these behaviors and the reports and analyses that are produced to inform decision-making.
Project management experience and a demonstrated ability to manage rapidly evolving priorities.
Proven track record of effective and results driven problem solving, and decision-making.
Ability to think and act both analytically and strategically.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
