Office of Career and Professional Development
Ross Career Development Office (CDO) serves alumni and 1000 full-time day Master’s degree students (MBAs), 800 Part-time MBA students, 75 Master of Accounting students (MAccs), 25 Master of Supply Chain Management students (MSCMs) and 1300 Bachelor’s degree students (BBAs) each year by providing a complete range of workshops and counseling services and by maintaining recruiter relationships and coordinating on-campus interviews and off-campus job postings.
The Program Coordinator leads the complete and smooth delivery of all career programming for MBA students from inception to evaluation. This position will own multiple project deadlines and timelines and initiate communication efforts to promote MBA career programming resources. This position reports to the Senior Associate Director of the MBA Career Coaching Team and works closely with the seven Associate Directors/coaches in the office in addition to the MBA Program Office and Ross Operations.

Student Program Support
Execute flagship programs and events through complete understanding of purpose and goals to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of events and program. Programs include: CDO To Go, Summer Functional Webinars, Career Action Days (CAD), MBA Peer Coach onboarding, Functional Accountability Career Team (FACT) Groups, MBA2 Job Action Groups (JAGs), Business Portraits event, and workshop planning for MBA students
Create project plans and process documents that accurately capture the necessary steps for execution and evaluation of events.
Oversee and facilitate the hiring of 80+ MBA peer coaches. Create processes and timelines, collaborate with HR to ensure compliance with University temp hiring processes and onboarding.
Develop and maintain relationships with other Ross units (catering, program office, admissions, IT support, and operations) to ensure smooth delivery of programming and exceptional service to stakeholders
Manage administration of MBA Summer Recruiting Prep Course and MBA Peer Coach Training Course in Canvas learning management platform.
Triage peer coach administrative questions and needs for support. Create administrative training materials for peer coaches. Disseminate to peer coaches timely information relevant to their position. Manage MBA peer coach drop in staffing and attendance data.
Train and serve as back-up support to temporary BBA Program Coordinator.
Generate statistics for appointment data to assist MBA Staff Career Coaches in training and supervision of MBA Peer Coaches.
Utilize data to make suggestions to programming, processes, or events.
Manage the collection of workshop attendance data and the distribution of workshop evaluations.
Spearhead and ensure accurate and up-to-date tracking of incoming MBA students’ individual progress completing career education material. Utilize this data to determine follow-up communications and other actions.
Generate ad hoc data reports as needed for leadership team and coaching staff.
Develop strategic communications as they relate to programs. Author, proof, and order written materials as needed for programming, including emails, announcements, posters, etc.
Collaborate with Communications Coordinator to prepare and promote Ross Career Development Office programs, communications, announcements, and presentations as necessary.
Respond to general student inquiries and support other aspects of the Ross Career Development strategic plan to help achieve its goals.
Bachelor's degree in related field and 2-3 or more years of professional experience coordinating programs and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience are necessary.
Demonstrated project management, organizational skills, and group communication experience is necessary.
Excellent judgment and capability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to collaborate across multiple units and be a strong contributor to the team.
Ability to set priorities, work simultaneously on numerous tasks with multiple staff, strong attention to detail, and able to meet competing deadlines.
Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills. Able to work professionally and independently with high efficiency and productivity. Comfortable working with the public and serving as a representative of the Ross School of Business.
Intermediate/Advanced proficiency with excel. Must be able to generate statistics, run pivot tables, do vlookup, etc.
Proficient in Google Suite applications (Calendar, Forms, Sheets, Docs, etc.) and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Experience with database and course/ learning management systems is desired.
Interest in and capability of learning new software applications.
Some professional experience working in an academic environment.
Knowledge of the University of Michigan policies, programs, and core values.
Skills testing will be required.
