The Rockefeller University seeks an Assistant Production Editor, Rockefeller University Press to join Rockefeller University Press. The Assistant Production Editor will be the primary backup to all Production Editors and will be responsible for all aspects of online and print production for three fast-paced biomedical journals. Will review freelance copy editor manuscripts and proofs, author correspondence, metadata/data tagging and accuracy checks, and some copy editing.
Bachelor's degree required. Must have experience in a journal production department, effective communication, excellent writing and grammar skills, attention to detail, proven ability to meet deadlines, and a solid understanding of digital production processes. Experience with XML/HTML, Photoshop, and Chicago Manual of Style a plus.
