Regional Controlling Specialist (2000348) - Southfield, MI

BASF Battery Materials, G-CCB , already a strong player in the Global Battery Materials industry, which is an attractive growth field with multiple opportunities is looking for a passionate individual like you to serve as Regional Controlling Specialist in North America.
G-CCB is in the process of expanding its scope and team to generate business, primarily along the Automotive value chain to supply c athode a ctive m aterial (CAM) for electric vehicles.
In this role, you will be responsible for forecasting, budgeting, and preparation of monthly performance of the business unit, as well improvements to current accounting, costing and financial process to set up the business unit for success as it expands. Besides the controlling aspect, part of this role is to support digitization of current reporting and assist the controller and the business unit in real time availability of data and reporting to drive the right business decisions. You will interact frequently with the global controlling group internationally and assist the divisional controlling team in consolidation of Business unit reporting and cost management. The position will be based in Southfield, MI, and report directly to the Regional Controller CCB and CFO of BASF Toda Americas and support both units for controlling requirements, the Business Director North America for Battery Materials in concert with functional leadership from CCB's Global Marketing and Product Management team. Moreover, you will stay in close interaction with the functional accounting, finance platforms and shared services group to monitor and ensure the right fixed cost footprint for the regional Business Unit.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to demonstrate your experience in budgeting, forecasting, managing actual performances and understanding variances, as well as your strong understanding of internal controls required in manufacturing operations and SAP.

* Being well versed with the standard industry tools for reporting and consolidation (SAP, Cognos, and Business Warehouse tools, you will use them for reporting and other Business Intelligence modules.

* Your strong communication skills and your solid ability to navigate through complex organizations will aid you in driving solutions in our global team successfully.
