The Allied Health Department has an opening for a Medical Laboratory Technician Instructor.
The primary responsibility is to provide full-time instruction in Medical Laboratory Technology fostering an active and inclusive learning environment, maintaining office hours for mentoring and coaching students, success and retention activities, and utilization of Blackboard for communication and feedback.
Other duties include, but are not limited to:
Curriculum development and instruction in Medical Laboratory Technician courses
Maintenance of program documentation for accreditation
Utilizing medical laboratory equipment and digital instructional resources
Advising and recruitment of potential Medical Laboratory Technician program students
Interaction with community partners at local hospitals
Supervision of clinical coursework
Additional program support duties as assigned by Program Coordinator and Division Chair.
Salary based on qualifications and experience.
Current ASCP-BOC certification required. Minimum of an Associate Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning required. Bachelor's or Master's (in related field) preferred. Minimum 5 years experience in all areas of clinical laboratory with an emphasis in microbiology.
