The Donor Relations team is seeking a strategic, creative and highly motivated Stewardship Manager to join our team. Working with guidance from the Director of Donor Relations, the Stewardship Manager is primarily responsible for providing consistent and appropriate stewardship programs for MSK donors. The manager will work to proactively create and provide stewardship and donor engagement initiatives and works collaboratively with senior development leadership and development officers. The position requires strong project management skills.
Mentor and supervise Stewardship Officers as appropriate
Perform employee reviews and performance evaluations

Ensures key performance metrics are met.
Drives continuous improvement related to applicable processes.
Helps to lead and sustain a culture of service, professionalism, and continuous improvement in the office of donor relations.
Leads teams to complete initiatives.
Provides leadership necessary to manage and communicate with MSK's donors and possesses the skills necessary to communicate effectively with leadership at MSK, in speech and in writing.
Assists with analysis and makes recommendations; reviews prospects' wealth-capacity information and manages high- profile visits to MSK by potential donors, including current and former patients, their families, and business representatives.
Establishes annual goals of the Stewardship group and coaches staff to achieve those goals.
Manages a personal senior leadership portfolio of high value donors and board members.
Manages high-priority initiatives and programs to define goals, deliverables, and specifications in the effort to extend institutional philanthropic priorities by providing stewardship to donors at the $5-million level and over in collaboration with senior leadership.
Take prospects and donors on tours of the facility and coordinate special donor visits as needed
Oversees and executes the preparation of materials and organizing meetings to successfully cultivate and solicit potential seven-and eight-figure donors; developing, implementing, and evaluating long-range goals and annual program plans, managing professional and support staff; and obtaining input from multiple stakeholders.
Works with Director, Donor Relations to create programmatic process and strategic initiatives and to obtain, organize, analyze and communicate data necessary for fulfilling program and project needs.
Makes recommendations regarding initiatives and programs based on analysis of information.
Recommends metrics to measure success of programs.
Complete other duties as assigned.

Bachelors degree preferred plus 5-7 years of experience. In lieu of bachelors degree, 10 years experience can be excepted.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Office and fundraising software
Experience in a high-volume non-profit philanthropic service environment
Demonstrated independent judgment and critical thinking skills.
Demonstrated effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Proven prior experience and ability to professionally network, initiate, develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Prior experience writing and editing under executive level signatures
Event management, project management, supervisory skills and experience coordinating relationship management items is required.
