HEAD OF CONTENT STRATEGY AND ACQUISITION , edX , to serve as a senior member of the management team responsible for defining edX content offerings and lead a growing team of category managers who specialize in core subject areas. EdX's educational content portfolio features hundreds of programs and thousands of courses from the world's leading universities and organizations. Responsibilities will include defining and executing content strategy that aligns with edX's overall company and product strategies; growing edX's capability to identify and acquire the best courses, credentials, degrees, and other content to meet learners' needs worldwide; growing edX's research capability and aligning content with the job market; building strong working relationships with partner managers and content providers; identifying educational/business/labor trends and leading the necessary research, acquisition, and experimentation to understand opportunity and impact; building, leading, developing, and managing teams; and representing and advancing edXs' goals at key public engagements/conferences/events.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : ten years' experience in a professional, continuing higher education, or consulting role focused on delivering best-in-class digital experiences to consumer markets; track record of success in business development and leading teams that reliably meet goals; and experience collaborating and navigating in a matrixed organization. Seek someone with strong leadership skills and experience hiring and developing top talent; coaching direct reports and others; designing diverse, inclusive, effective, and results-driven teams; aligning teams to goals; setting a strategic vision; and creating a positive work environment. Must be able to work in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment, represent edX as an industry leader, foster working relationships with content providers, and develop and maintain good relationships with content partners and the industry at large.
