Job Description Summary
We are seeking a full-time Clinical Research Coordinator to support the study, "Improving Self-Care of Heart Failure (HF) Caregivers" funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH) initiative under the auspices of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. The study is randomized controlled trial testing an intervention designed to provide support to informal caregivers of HF patients that will help them maintain their health and reduce risks of illness associated with the stress of being a caregiver.
Under theÂ general direction of the Project Manager, the Clinical Research Coordinator will plan, organize and conduct all activities and systems necessary to ensure the timely and accurate performance and reporting necessary for implementation of the iCare4Me project. Â The primary function of this position is to engage with eligible caregivers and patients to enroll them in the iCare4Me study and coordinate activities to collect baseline, 3, 6, 9 and 12-month follow up surveys with enrolled participants. Â In a lead capacity, the Clinical Research Coordinator will be managing the day-to-day operations for several research protocols. Â The incumbent will oversee existing project activities, supporting the implementation of new projects and meeting timelines involved in the data sets collection. Â Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Clinical Research Coordinator will manage data using different tools, systems and statistical software package and submit protocol modifications and continuing reviews to the IRB as needed, perform literature review, ans write reports and sections of grant proposals and manuscripts Â for studies. Â There will also be an opportunity to participate in the design, conduct, analysis and writing of clinical research studies, along with the production of tables and figures. Â The job will also entail administrative responsibilities that will include organizing and filing research materials, data entry and extraction, and proofreading.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
