Responsible for strategically designing, developing, and implementing data models for enterprise-level applications and systems in order to expand the college's use of data as a tool to make informed decisions. This position will work closely with IRE and college management in producing, analyzing and reading data driven analytic reports and dashboards.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Acts as the primary advocate of data modeling methodologies and data processing best practices.
Develops and delivers long-term strategic goals for data architecture vision and standards in conjunction with data users, department managers, clients, and other key stakeholders.
Establishes methods and procedures for tracking data quality, completeness, redundancy, and improvement.
Conducts data capacity planning, life cycle, duration, usage requirements, feasibility studies, and other tasks.
Creates strategies and plans for data security, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and archiving.
Assess and determine governance, stewardship, and frameworks for managing data across the organization.
Develops and documents the data architecture environment in order to maintain a current and accurate view of the larger data picture.
Selects and implements the appropriate tools, software, applications, and systems to support the College’s data governance goals.
Oversees the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, with the goal of ensuring data quality.
Ensures that data strategies and architectures are in regulatory compliance.
Collaborates with project managers and business unit leaders for all projects involving enterprise data.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field of study
Six years of related experience, to include supervisory experience
Experience designing data architecture in a cloud environment
Data mining and data modeling
SQL query language, SQL server management, and SQL enterprise manager
Strategic thinking including effective planning, setting goals, monitoring progress, tracking results and making appropriate adjustments to plans based on circumstances and context
Customer service, with the ability to effectively communicate on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations and take responsibility for a high level of service
Effective time and task management
Collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Maintain effective working relationships
