Library Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations of Robbins Library by supervising/training student workers, maintaining functionality and preservation of library collection, assisting with research requests, assembling course reserves, and performing related tasks as needed.
Technical Support and Digital Communication: Provide technical assistance by setting up course web sites and developing faculty web pages. In collaboration with the Department Administrator and Department Chair, act as the webmaster and primary content creator for the department web site. Maintain current knowledge of University applications in support of teaching and research, including but not limited to: the Harvard OpenScholar platform, Canvas course sites, and my.harvard student information system.
Venue Management/Event Support: Maintain the physical space of the library in a way that supports use of the library both as an event space and work space for department members. Will assist in the hosting of Departmental events through space management, oversight of event set-up/break-down, and development of dynamic library event initiatives that lead to greater inclusivity and creative programming.
This is a 21 hr/week position. Some work on evenings or weekends may occasionally be required.

Bachelor's degree and 2+ years experience.
Superior written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; great attention to detail; demonstrated ability to manage time and tasks and complete projects in a timely manner.
Strong Interest in developing technical applications, academic research, library science, and/or digital communication a plus.
Strong computer skills, with demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office applications, Adobe suite, and/or/web development.
Demonstrated supervisory skills.
