Our 13 veterinarian equine practice needs another enthusiastic colleague experienced in medicine and reproductive work to join our team for the upcoming breeding season.
This is a 6 month fixed term role that would suit a veterinarian that has completed a residency programme in equine medicine and ideally has interest and experience in theriogenology.
MVS is a large mixed animal practice with a purpose built Equine clinic and referral hospital located in the heart of New Zealand horse country. The majority of our caseload is Thoroughbred racing and breeding with a smaller sport, pleasure horse and Standardbred racing component. The annual hospital in-patient caseload exceeds 800 horses per year.
The hospital is well-staffed and equipped including full surgical facilities, digital radiography, digital ultrasonography, nuclear scintigraphy, in house laboratory, gastroscopy and video-endoscopy. You will have the support of a team of 10 other veterinarians (including board-certified specialists in surgery), 3 interns and 12 nurses/support-staff. On call for after-hours is shared equally.
A culture of quality service to the client, dedicated care of the patient and peer support exists in this practice.
Applications (including CV and the names of 2 referees) are invited from veterinarians who are self-motivated, keen to join a progressive team and live in a town that is racing ahead
