You will employ the best practices for user research, design thinking, and experience design across end-to-end customer journeys while mentoring individual designers through active teaching, frequent feedback, and design critiques. You will champion design and the value of customer-centricity within senior leadership.
Build and lead a new design team and establish a culture of design quality, agility, collaboration, openness and customer-centricity
Lead and contribute to user experience and product design efforts across multiple projects and initiatives, ensuring delivery of high-quality products in collaboration with cross-functional team members
Define experience strategies, facilitating work sessions with product teams and customers to define design goals and requirements
Plan and conduct user research to inform, iterate, and validate design solutions, utilizing methods such as concept testing, observations, interviews, contextual inquiries, surveys, usability testing, A/B testing, etc.
Lead design reviews and critiques of mobile and web solutions in close collaboration with front-end developers for efficient implementation
Advocate for design best practices and the value of a user-centric approach with leadership and stakeholders
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related work experience
Proven experience leading teams to deliver high quality, consumer products on a range of digital platforms and devices
Able to lead teams and to create distinctive, intuitive design artifacts (e.g., wireframes, flows, screen mockups, prototypes) with individual ability for hands-on design
Hands-on experience planning, conducting, and synthesizing user research and testing. Experience with quantitative methods and analytics is a plus
Understanding of component-based design systems that can be applied at scale
Experience planning and conducting design workshops with diverse stakeholders
Hands-on experience designing consumer applications for desktop, web, and mobile
Proven experience leading design teams in an Agile product development setting
Proven leadership experience
Knowledge and expertise across multiple spectrums of large scale business operations, preferably in the Utility Sector
