Stanford Summer Session Summer Session is Stanford University's fourth academic quarter, offering approximately 200 courses from more than 40 departments to over 2,500 graduate, undergraduate, and advanced high school students. Summer Session is seeking a Student Services Specialist who will be critical in providing administrative and operational support to students, parents/guardians, staff, and faculty on issues ranging from admissions, financial aid, housing, registrar services, visa services, student life, advising, and academic services. As a Specialist, you will have the opportunity to develop and refine skills in customer support and service and project management, and you will become familiar with the operations of a dynamic, administrative office within a large institution like Stanford University. In this role you will resolve routine issues within your work area, work closely with the finance team to assist with financial reporting and transactions, training, and process improvement, and contribute to the transformative educational experience that is Summer Session. Your responsibilities include:
Manage day-to-day communications with students, parents, staff, and others via email and phone.
Responsible for P-card and T-card administration as well as creating Purchase Orders.
Review transactions, support documents, etc. for accuracy, consistency, authorizations, and compliance.
Update electronic databases, edit department literature and associated materials.
Coordinate logistics for activities, meetings and events.
To be successful in the position, you will bring:

Basic understanding of financial transactions.

In addition, preferred requirements include: Associates degree and one year of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
