This professional information technology position spans a range of in-depth support activity up to and including implementing solutions or new services to ensure proper functioning of device computing systems, network servers, and connectivity. These positions are generally structured to be second and third-tier support to other user support functions, and may also be structured as the primary technical support staff assigned to departments/divisions outside of the central information technology organization. A high degree of interaction with people is involved; therefore sound customer service principles must be applied while fulfilling the technical function.
? Answer telephone inquiries concerning technology including questions regarding SSO ids, passwords, Secure Auth, networking, Canvas, email, general purpose software and hardware. ? Install and configure desktop computer systems running Windows, Macintosh OS and peripherals. ? Help faculty, staff, and students get connected to the campus network via VPN (virtual private network), wireless devices, wired devices and Bradford ? Relocate desktop computers, projectors and peripherals in labs, classrooms, and faculty/staff offices as required. ? Interact with coworkers and supervisor to determine customer support procedures that benefit the campus community. ? Provide installation of bITS and non-bITS computers. ? Provide virus remediation ? Provide and maintain laptops and digital projectors for checkout. ? Provide desktop reimaging services ? Have the ability to support Managed Printing and software associated with printing. ? Provide Optical Scanning Services ? Provide TritonCards for Faculty, Staff, Students and vendors
High school diploma required. Experience with broad range of LAN and device knowledge skills and expansive knowledge of device / workstation hardware/software/operating systems.
Preferred Qualifications ? In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office ? Macintosh support experience ? Strong customer service skills
