Director, ID+ Card Services
The Pennsylvania State University is a state-related, land-grant, university with campuses and facilities throughout Pennsylvania. The University ID+ Card Program supports operations on all campuses and is a department within the Auxiliary and Business Services division. Penn State is seeking candidates for the position of Director for the University ID+ Card Program, located on the University Park campus in central Pennsylvania. This position will provide leadership and support for the changing applications of identity and access technology. Responsibilities will include the development of partnerships across the university with a wide range of stakeholders and collaboration on applications of technology to support the student experience. This position supports card issuance on all Penn State campuses, and collaborates with Student Housing, Food Services, Information Technology, Accounting and Business Operations, the Office of Physical Security, University Libraries, New Student Orientation, summer conferences, the University's banking partner, and many vendors on and off campus who utilize the Lioncash spending program. The Lioncash program entails outreach to vendors both internal and external to the University, and currently utilizes the Transact system. Other technologies related to the ID+ card program are the room assignment and student information systems, point of sale system, and door access software. The director will assure compliance with all related policies, and collaboratively develop and implement innovative solutions using available technology. The successful candidate will be experienced in creating and sustaining collaborative relationships with a broad array of partners and have a proven record of effective project management employing technical applications. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory experience, excellent communication skills, sensitivity in working with diverse populations, and experience with card issuance software are required.
