Summary: Business Development and Strategic Industy Programs Manager
This position will be responsible for creating member engagement via effective working group collaboration to establish a pathway for a program roadmap with emphasis on revenue generating programs that support inudstry problem solving and new opportunities for the association to retain members in the process.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Primary point of contact for working group maturity modeling engagement, qualifying roadmap for developing strategic program into a viable certification program
Member engagement and follow-up are critical success factors in relationship management of working group effectiveness
Coordinate creation of defined roadmap materials and overall communication, working group prospectus and vetting opportunities and industry events.
Track weekly sales performance; year over year sales plus weekly call log report that includes rep averages.
Provide weekly sales report that summarizes notable member engagement to highlight among leadership team.
Distribution of working group meeting recaps, establish weekly action items for short term goals.
Create effective member engagement pipeline report that captures confidence levels for open opportunities.
Coordinate effective working group member meetings.
Identify interdepartmental opportunities to cross pollinate strategic industry programs initiatives.
Management of Salesforce activities to help identify inefficiencies and to assist in prioritizing ongoing tasks:
Track aging opportunities.
Set reminders for upcoming close dates.
Create customized functional dashboards to track key targets and performance.
Attend internal stakeholder meetings to be the liaison between policy, communications and membership teams.
Attend applicable Smart Cities Business & Technology Working Group monthly calls per working group.
Coordinate agenda-setting and summaries, as well as act as support for working group leadership teams.
Prepare processes and documentations required to transition working groups into certification programs, as needed.
Lead working group discussions, as needed to bridge engineering teams with business development teams among member companies.

Prior experience with relationship management, Salesforce
Must be extremely well-versed in all Microsoft Office Suite products. Expert knowledge of Excel is required and prior experience with databases is preferred. Knowledge of HTML code and proficiency with the Internet is preferred.
Education and/or experience:
4 -year College degree, 5+ years account management, customer relations
Detail-oriented with knowledge of grammar and punctuation. Proficiency in proofreading skills and strong communications skills are required.
