Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Creative Media Coordinator for The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics. The Creative Media Coordinator runs the graphic design arm of the Rutgers football creative media team that that creates social media, web and marketing content for the program.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Responsible for concepts, designs and produces digital and video graphic materials for the Rutgers football program.
Designs and executes photo shoots for prospective student-athletes.
Leads photographer on game-day.
Stays up-to-date on the latest football and marketing trends and industry change.
Helps implement best practices for recruiting strategy.
Builds relationships with student-athletes and coaching staff.
Gains and maintains working knowledge of university, Big Ten, and NCAA processes, rules, and regulations.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education/job related experience
A minimum of two years experience in graphic design for an athletic department, team, agency, production-house or media brand.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong attention to detail, creativity and problem-solving skills
Advanced skills in design and produce digital and video graphic materials
Ability to gain and maintain working knowledge of university, Big Ten, and NCAA processes, rules, and regulations
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to hold and shoot with a camera
