As social media specialist, you will join a robust marketing and communications team and work alongside a budding group of digital marketing experts. You will have the opportunity to join in planning the long-term vision for our Leaders & Best social media content calendars and engage with audiences daily as a trusted voice of the development community here at U-M.
In this role, you will also help plan and execute photography and video projects that bring the impact of philanthropy at Michigan to life across multiple social media channels. And as a member of the U-M community, you will build lasting relationships with marketing and communications professionals across campus. Together, you will work collaboratively and cross-functionally to highlight this university’s impact on our state, our nation, and our world.

*This is a full time, term limited position ending after two (2) years from the hire date and is eligible for benefits. Before the end of the term limit, it could be considered for a term extension or for transition to an open-ended position.
Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing or media, eCommerce, or a related major
1-3 years professional experience specific to social media
Proven experience in developing and managing social media accounts, video programs, and other interactive communications programs; proficient in the tactical use of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, LinkedIn)
Demonstrates project leadership
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
Familiarity with HTML
Familiarity with Google Analytics
Familiarity with building and maintaining an online influencer network
