The Engineer To Order (ETO) Demand Manager will lead the S&OP, Forecasting, and Capacity management globally supporting all ETO Businesses (this includes: Low Voltage Motor Control (LVMCC), Engineered Solutions (ESB), Medium Voltage (MVB), and limited Systems and Solutions (SSB) Business's and plants globally that support these BU's). In coordination with the ETO Business Units, they will lead the team responsible for generating and maintain the ETO shipment forecast for all ETO plants and serve as a liaison for ETO demand globally. This position will be responsible for each Business Units' Sales & Operations Planning function in addition to BU level and plant level master scheduling functions. They will also lead the development and standardization of planning and scheduling tools that will optimize the end to end ETO scheduling process. In coordination with the Materials Manager, they will support the ETO Supply Plan and coordination of this forecast with Supply Management.
As a Functional Manager, the expectation is that you will use proven leadership and change management skills to drive improvements in business performance related to all areas of responsibility. Business process performance improvements will be primarily driven through working relationships with Project Management, Business Marketing, Business Development, Application Engineering, P&IC Managers, Plant Managers, and Master Schedulers to monitor and evaluate available material lead times, to recommend/initiate actions to meet customer service and lead time objectives.
Generate and maintain an ETO BU demand forecast through oversight for BU specific S&OP processes.
Implement and maintain consistent ETO end-to-end scheduling across all ETO BU's and plants
Provide relevant experience for all affected Business Unit strategic and operational planning activities. Develop, implement & maintain appropriate processes to ensure a productive planning process and well-considered and implementable strategic plans.
Prepare as required (weekly/monthly) reporting to monitor Key Process Indicators (KPI's) such as load reporting, variance to forecast, capacity utilization, ETO problem orders and other related metrics.
Research situations and obtain input from others to ensure fact-based solutions and answers to technical and operational problems.
Applies increasingly in-depth and advanced knowledge and expertise, analytical skills, and creative thinking to modify or adjust processes or approaches to best meet needs/objectives.
Apply in-depth financial knowledge, expertise and analytical skills to model potential solutions sets to issues related to the associated Business Units product portfolio. In addition, act as business resource to assist in the resolution of RACS wide inquiries and problems.
Monitor Customer service metrics and lead times and analyze performance gaps related to on-time to promise and published or targeted lead time.
