We are seeking a professional like you to support and drive both the administration and activities related to BASF's contract security workforce and site security programs. Additionally, you will assist with and participate in cross-functional security/emergency response management and contingency planning and coordinate relevant security and safety training. The BASF sites in Texas produce chemicals that are vital to the sustainability of our economy and quality of life. Formula for Success
Leveraging your combined education and/or work experience in Security and Emergency Preparedness or related field will be essential in administering security, emergency management and safety policies, procedures and programs that address all key issues and concerns for compliance and regulatory requirements at BASF.
Fostering a culture of partnership and trust will be vital to effectively interact and collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization and sustaining program management.
Assisting in the execution of security policies and initiatives to ensure the integrity of the site facility, you will partner with the site's security supervisor on day to day operations and providing guidance to contractor guard staff and site operations team.
Demonstrating relevant knowledge, skills and abilities in security and emergency preparedness you will coordinate the development and administration of our program initiatives and will act as a resource in respect to organizing and supporting the training and development of site personnel, performing audits and assessments in compliance with applicable local, state and federal regulations including company and site-specific standards.
Your ability to work independently, with attention to detail, and adjusting to priorities will be essential in managing day to day operations, data management and reporting, providing key insights into procedure standards and best practices.
Your thorough understanding of security, emergency preparedness and response will be valuable as you assist internal customers or third parties with safety or security related issues/concerns, monitor safety issues, investigate incidents/accidents and provide technical support to BASF site employees.
S trong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with demonstrable hands-on operational experience in security and emergency management prevention, preparedness, and response efforts.
Proficient knowledge and use of data visualization tools, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, project management, database management tools, mass communication tools, and incident management systems.
