Siena College is accepting applications for the position of Director of Academic Technology. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Director of Academic Technology provides leadership, support, and oversight for the planning, development, and management of online, hybrid and technology-enhanced courses. This position guides the appropriate integration of a wide variety of technologies into all academic programs consistent with the College's academic strategy and priorities. The Director will oversee and administer the College's Learning Management System (Canvas), ePortfolio system, academic systems, and classroom and instructional technologies. The position manages a team of four.
The Director collaborates extensively with academic leadership in support of scholarship, learning, teaching, and student engagement. Additionally, the Director guides the strategy and focus of infrastructure and support processes to ensure technical and functional services meet the needs of a growing and changing academic landscape.

Master's degree (or PhD) in Instructional or Educational Technology, Curriculum Design, Education or similar. MBA may be considered depending on experience.
Six (6) or more years of experience in an instructional and/or academic technology role with increasing responsibilities including supervisory
Knowledge and experience with implementation of curriculum design theory, principles, and practices.
Expertise with educational technologies used in higher education
Knowledge and experience with learning management systems and other methods of course delivery in an online or hybrid environment
Supervisory skills and strong decision making ability
Planning and organizational skills; background in project management extremely beneficial
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
