Where the Chemistry Happens
This position is responsible for developing and delivering Six Sigma training, facilitating workshops that drive end to end process improvements, and leading high-impact continuous improvement projects: Key areas include:
MBB Instructor: Conduct DFSS and LSS training classes (Green Belt, Black Belt and Yellow Belt) including coaching and mentoring as the Belts strive for certification and project implementation.
MBB Project Manager: Lead and implement high-impact (>$500k), complex continuous improvement projects to improve the business results. Responsible for successful project identification, implementation, and project tracking. Use statistical software packages to analyze data, design experiments, and implement statistical control tracking.
MBB Program Manager: Recognize, analyze, prioritize, and drive opportunities for improvement across all aspects of the business. Manage and oversee Lean Six Sigma project teams focused on reducing cycle time, minimizing inventory, increasing productivity, improving yield and on increasing the quality and performance of our products and processes.
Collaborate with the Six Sigma Deployment Manager to create a network of internal support to reinforce the Six Sigma skills and competence for all employees to drive a culture of continuous improvement. Identify additional projects, training and resources that are needed to sustain the Lean Six Sigma programs. Increase the GB and BB project completion and certification rate.

Formula for Success
Bachelor's degree required in business or chemistry, engineering, or related technical discipline. Master's degree preferred.
Master Black Belt Certification required from an acknowledged, highly respectable source. Certification must include completion of Lean Six Sigma training, completion of exams, project work (Black Belt and Master Black Belt projects), certified benefit realization and successful delivery of executive-level project report-outs for each certification level.
To qualify for this position, the candidate must have completed Master Black Belt training, be a certified MBB and have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an MBB with at least 4 completed Master Black Belt projects with proven hard dollar savings.
Proven team leadership and project management skills, especially experience in Lean or Six Sigma projects management. Certification in project management, such as PMP certification desired. Management experience desired.
Demonstrated consistent level of high performance.
10+ years of experience in manufacturing and transactional operations. Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, customer service, logistics, finance, etc.
Have a proven track record of working independently to identify and solve complex problems.
Must be a results-oriented "change agent" capable of considering business-wide impact of projects and capable of managing risk.
Skilled with the DMAIC or DFSS Six Sigma Methodologies, including experience with Process Flows, Root Cause Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Measurement System Analysis, Voice of the Customer and Design of Experiments.
Familiarity with Lean Methodology, including Kaizen, Kanban, 5S and Poke Yoke.
Experience with statistical software such as SigmaZone (SPC XL, DOE Pro, Quantum XL) or MiniTab, JMP, etc and a track record of analysis with large amounts of data.
Experience with simulation software also desirable (such as Monte Carlo, Process Model, Discrete Event Simulation, etc.)
Experience with business processes, including financial analysis, ERP (such as SAP), quality reporting/NCMs, and document control systems.
Able to master statistical problem-solving techniques. Proven analytical/business modeling skills.
Must be able to multi-task and handle large workloads.
