ResponsibilitiesThe Clinical Applications Informatic Pharmacist will assist directing programs with organization-wide impact (or may have impact beyond the University) that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources. The Clinical Applications Informatic Pharmacist will assists defining standards/objectives and assists with leading projects, configuration, build, installation and support of Epic pharmacy applications including Willow Inpatient, Willow Ambulatory, Beacon, other clinical applications involving medications. The Clinical Applications Informatic Pharmacist will assist IT leadership as a team liaison to Epic clinical resources, clinical & business process champion. The Clinical Applications Informatic Pharmacist will act as the primary expert and support contact for the Willow/Beacon applications and integration with ADS systems and other clinical applications involving medications. The Clinical Application Informatic Pharmacist will assist with providing leadership for IT Clinical pharmacy projects. Required Qualifications
Experience in Epic Willow Inpatient, Willow Ambulatory, Beacon and/or other EMR IT medication systems.
Experience assisting with initiating, leading, and directing large and complex projects, expert on multiple aspects of electronical health records and other clinical applications with emphasis on medications related data elements and workflows.
Expert resource to find and resolve issues in systems analysis and testing for pharmacy clinical information systems.
Expert knowledge of pharmacy related clinical applications operations, systems, and functions, including planning, design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing and valuation.
Doctor of Pharmacy or Registered Pharmacist active California license, with at least 5 years of clinical information systems experience.
Expert skills in data analysis, synthesis, and reporting methods.
Expert skills to develop, test, and deploy appropriate and effective solutions in a timely manner.
Expert proficiency in interpersonal communication to effectively train, support, and collaborate productively with clinical users, management, and key stakeholders at all professional and technical levels.
Highly developed skills and expertise in project management.
Extensive experience assisting with directing project successfully from inception to completion on task and on schedule.
Prefer Doctor of Pharmacy or Registered Pharmacist active California license, with at least 5 years of clinical information systems experience.
The ability to obtained Epic Willow Inpatient certification within 3 months' time frame. Including keeping all system and Epic application certifications current such as Continuing Epic Education (CEE), and New Version Training (NVT). Proficiency in Epic Willow Inpatient, Willow Ambulatory, Beacon and other IT medication systems.
This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
