Ensures that complex projects meet the program need and are completed within budget and schedule parameters. Provides coordination and professional leadership for project management team consisting of Project Engineer, technical support staff, customer(s), contracted support, and others as necessary. Leads team meetings. Maintains a provider relationship to the customer region assisting them in whatever way needed in the development process. Coordinates and oversees activities of the contractors and others engaged by the DMC to modify, repair, expand, or demolish its physical facilities. Ensures completion of projects within schedules and budget, and according to specifications. Controls work change orders, according to the DMC policy. Ensures project compliance with requirements of insurance carriers and regulatory agencies. Ensures that project complies with DMC standards for material, function, and appearance. Ensures that all DMC operational standards of capital approval, purchasing, etc. are followed.
1. Bachelors of Science degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience. 2. A minimum of five years experience facility planning, project management and/or construction management. 3. Licensure as a Professional Engineer desirable.
