Serves as a senior level admissions counselor involved in counseling prospective students regarding university admission policies and procedures at the freshmen, transfer and graduate levels. Responsible for follow-up with inquiries and applicants. Represents the university at recruitment events. Assists in training and providing guidance to the admission counseling staff.
Serves as a senior level admissions counselor involved in counseling prospective students regarding university admission policies and procedures at the freshmen, transfer and graduate levels.
Assists the Director/Director in developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies for undergraduate freshmen.
Serves as the lead on special projects as assigned by Assistant Director/Director. Special projects can include: website maintenance, social media management, travel planning, etc.
Prepares and distributes monthly reports on recruitment efforts to the freshman team.
Coordinates and implements the recruitment plan including scheduling and reporting on recruitment visits/events.
Plans and executes recruitment event programming both on and off-campus.
Utilizes Banner and Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) to communicate and enter all prospective student information. Counsels prospective students on the phone, e-mail, and in person.
Coordinates and manages the admissions process and serves on the admissions committee to review applicants for admissibility a the undergraduate level. Works with undergraduate applicants to resolve extenuating circumstances, complaints, and appeals of admission denials.
Works collaboratively with on-campus partners in order to further the mission of the Office of Admissions. This includes collaborating with academic departments to promote academic programs by coordinating programs specific recruiting events, financial assistance/admission application workshops, and military student recruitment programming to increase new student enrollment.
Serves as lead freshmen admission counselor trainer and provides guidance to new admission counselors.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in applicable field
Three years of related experience.
Preference will be given to individuals with experience in higher education recruitment and admissions
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Knowledge of functions of higher education.
Knowledge of recruitment and marketing.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to present information clearly and concisely.
Ability to use technology to track and process students through Graduate School Admissions processes. Ability to collect, write, and report various types of data sets.
Valid Driver's license or ability to obtain one within first 30 days of employment.:
