Stanford Research Systems has an immediate opening in Research and Development for an instrumentation-focused experimentalist to join us as a hardware/electronics designer in building a new generation of scientific and engineering products. Initial responsibilities may include analog or digital circuit design, RF circuits, power supplies, shielding and noise suppression, and system engineering.
Experience with electronics design is required, while some background in programming is desirable. Familiarity with laboratory electronics and instruments is a plus, as is an understanding of techniques related to measurements and noise.
An advanced degree in experimental physical science, or equivalent experience, is required. The successful candidate must be able to work well both collaboratively and independently in an unstructured environment, and will have significant latitude in designing products and developing future areas of instrumentation for SRS.
