Produce original payments related AFP content for distribution through multiple association channels, such as conferences, webinars, Podcasts, AFP publications, and other outlets.
Establish and lead the Payments Advisory Council for AFP, which is comprised of corporate practitioners that represent a cross-section of AFP membership with diverse views on payments and treasury.
Take a lead role and serve as a voice and representative for corporate payments professionals in industry initiatives. Lead collaborate discussions with AFP staff to develop strategies for leveraging relevant topics across AFP's key business drivers to maximize strategic and financial results.
Develop and deliver membership value drivers such as tools, guides and other resources for members to help them do their job more effectively in payments.
Identify and develop solutions to key payments-related issues, such as electronic, faster and real-time payments, standards, fraud and regulations, and industry innovations.
Leverage knowledge of the payments profession to identify opportunities to update existing training programs, develop new programs, and inform future updates to the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) Body of Knowledge.
Support AFP marketing by participating in all payments content marketing campaigns.
Assist and support the Treasury Advisory Group and related activities, such as the Retail Roundtable.
Advise and support the Sales Department by identifying sponsor prospects and opportunities.
Work with the Director of Treasury to provide subject matter expertise for corporate payment industry initiatives. Participate in meetings with lawmakers, press, and regulators as needed. Provide in-depth review of issues and provide member communication of the issues through marketing and communications at AFP.
Develop budgets for relevant programs and projects.
Support the Director of Treasury Services and other Senior Leaders to develop strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external.
Interpret and analyze policy, financial data and reports.
Collaborate with your peers, have high level project management abilities and a focus to achieve desired outcomes and deadlines.
Our ideal candidate will have a master’s degree (a bachelor's degree is required), and at least 3+ years of experience working in direct payments and/or accounting. Certified Treasury Professional certification is desired. The candidate must have strong communication skills, the ability to speak to a wide variety of audiences, a hands-on mentality and be willing to tackle necessary tasks in the area of Payments strategically and energetically.
