Sacred Heart Greenwich is an independent, Catholic day school for girls from kindergarten through grade 12 with a coed preschool and prekindergarten. We are currently seeking a Manager of Communication to begin immediately.
Position: Manager of Communication Reports to: Director of Communication FLSA Status: Exempt
Reporting to the Director of Communication, this position will focus on build brand awareness for the School externally and increasing the breadth and depth of our communications internally. The Manager will interact daily with the wider Sacred Heart Greenwich community—from students and teachers, to alumnae and parents—while leveraging experience in a variety of digital and print communication channels to help tell the School’s stories. The Manager will be responsible for creating and executing a variety of digital communications including, but not limited to, social media and social advertising for the School, athletics department and admission department; and emails for the special events, internal communications, the Parents’ Association, and more. In addition, the Manager will work on day-to-day media relations and media monitoring as well as publication development for special events, the Parents’ Association and more. In a role that is equal parts creative and strategic, this person will work with the Director to create new strategies and messages while amplifying current efforts already underway.
Assist in the development and production of printed materials, from magazines to fliers to invitations
Create content for and execute day-to-day social media campaigns for the School and the Athletics Department
Develop and distribute emails on behalf of the Parents’ Association, the Fund for Sacred Heart, special events and more
Manage social media advertising from budgeting to content creation to tracking
Handle daily media monitoring and news clipping
Regularly update the School website with fresh content
5+ years of related communications, writing or social media experience
Professional or personal proficiency in social media
Event, fundraising or marketing experience is a plus
Impeccable writing and communications skills; a creative storyteller
Highly organized and detail-oriented
A team player who can also work independently
Up-to-speed on the changing media landscape and emerging new media channels
Can work across a multi-functional team and with senior leadership
Holds a Bachelor’s Degree
Availability for occasional evening and weekend events
This is a 12 month position
