The Inventory Analyst works in the Supply Chain Distribution team as a liaison between the Harris Health System, the primary supplies distributor and other vendors to ensure sufficient availability of needed supplies. Monitors, analyzes and reviews inventory reports from multiple sources and makes timely decisions to minimize stock outs as a result of MBO's or distributor issues. The Inventory Analyst consults with the Value Analysis group, end users and the Purchasing department to determine clinically acceptable substitute products. Uses their supplies knowledge and the supply chain processes to make cost effective decisions. Identifies inventory handling process gaps and works with the Distribution management team to streamline them. Is a healthcare supply chain leader and inventory manager with the ability to train others on industry best practices.
Work Experience (Years and Area): 2 years supply chain experience, preferably in healthcare supply chain.
Management Experience (Years and Area): 2 years project management.
Special Requirements Communication Skills: Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking).
Writing /Composing: Correspondence, Reports.
Other Skills: Analytical, Medical Terms , Statistical, P.C. , MS Word , MS Excel, MS Access , PeopleSoft.
Advanced Education: BS Degree. Major-Business or Healthcare Administration or equivalent.
Work Schedule: On Call
Other Requirements: CMRP preferred. Process Improvement experience preferred (PDCA, Six Sigma, Kaizen etc)
