Position Summary: NJIT University Library seeks a collaborative, creative, forward-thinking leader to serve as an Associate University Librarian for Scholarly Communication and Technologies (AUL). Reporting to the University Librarian, the AUL has the overall responsibility for library technology (applications and systems), digital services (creation, curation, and preservation), and scholarly communication services (digital scholarship, open educational resources, open access/education and research data management), including oversight for a team of librarians and staff. The AUL ensures the technology portfolio of the university library is responsive to the needs of the students, faculty, staff, and stakeholders. The AUL is expected to participate actively in strategic planning, policy development, budget planning, communication, and assessment of the library operations to increase operational effectiveness; and thinking openly and collaboratively to produce new library initiatives that support student learning and faculty teaching and research.
