The primary duties of the Events Display Manager are to transport, load-in/load-out and represent Ridetech’s interactive display following a pre-planned national event schedule. In addition to the primary responsibilities, the Events Display Manager speaks with automotive enthusiasts to answer technical support inquiries and capture on-site sales including product and apparel. The Events Display Manager is responsible for maintaining the condition of Ridetech’s display trailer, tow vehicle, awning and product displays. This includes ensuring that necessary repairs and maintenance are performed in a timely manner. The Events Display Manager is responsible for submitting a post-event recap summary that includes sales.
Responsibilitiesinclude but not limited to:
Transport 48-foot tri-axle gooseneck trailer to, from and between events based on a prescribed schedule.
Arrive in a timely manner in order to ensure proper display location
Clean trailer at display location.
Load-in / Load out event displays and supplies at each event.
Set-up display awning. Maintain condition of awning. Recommend/order replacement needed.
Stock trailer with apparel, catalogs and other event-related supplies. Replenish apparel inventory as needed.
Manage Ridetech event support staff including any staff on-loan from other departments such as Sales.
Work with Marketing Manager to select, negotiate and secure event display and sponsorship agreements include display location and/or booth number as needed.
Maintain relationships with event promotors and their staff.
Order and manage on-site event services such as trade show overhead rotating banner, power and other utilities, and services such as carpet and furniture rental.
Secure event-related travel arrangements including air and lodging.
Secure event-related credentials for all event staff.
Interact with prospects and customers during event hours. Encourage and capture sales when appropriate.
Set-up and operate event vehicle scale promotional program.
Transmit sales orders to appropriate sales department staff.
Maintain and service tow vehicle and trailer with respect to both functionality and safety.
Maintain all necessary DOT and IFTA paperwork and filings
Design, construct and maintain product displays
CDL, current medical card, and DOT compliant substance abuse testing
Experience with 5th wheel and tag-a-long trailering and “dually” tow vehicle.
Computer skills including MS Office, POS system
3-5 years of experience with automotive enthusiast event display operations.
Knowledge of specialty automobiles is necessary.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to act as Ridetech ambassador.
Ability to think creatively and assist with the design of event displays and event marketing strategies.
