A structural engineering firm based in Northern Virginia, Top Level Engineering, LLC, provides solution focused design while accounting for our client’s budget and design considerations. The TLE Team lends its expertise in the completion of structures including low to mid-rise commercial buildings, retail, medical, governmental, multi-family residential, and data centers.
We are currently seeking a Sr. Structural Engineer to support our growing team in Sterling, VA.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing design and analysis functions for various structures; conducting assessments and evaluations for existing structures; attending meetings with clients, other professionals and jurisdictional agencies; prepare construction documents using AutoCAD and/or Revit; establishing new and maintaining relationships with clients and subcontractors; developing proposals and negotiating contracts; reviewing designs as part of a QA/QC process; and managing, administering, and designing structural projects and structural components.
The ideal candidate possesses advanced knowledge of various design and documentation software; has the ability to work independently and as part of a project team; understands complex engineering problems and can collaborate with others to explore alternative solutions; is comfortable performing in an environment that requires independent evaluation, judgement and decision making; and offers exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
Possesses an active Professional Engineer license in at least one local jurisdiction (VA, MD, DC)
Minimum of 10 years of project engineering and management experience
Substantial project management experience
