The University at Buffalo Office of the Dean Undergraduate Education seeks an articulate, dynamic, detail-oriented professional to provide executive support to the Office of the Dean including direct support to the Dean and Assistant Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education. As a highly visible staff member in the Office of the Dean Undergraduate Education (UGE), the Staff Assistant serves as a primary liaison on behalf of Undergraduate Education with all parts of the university and a wide range of individuals including staff from the offices of the Academic Affairs, the president, provost, deans, vice presidents, vice provosts, and faculty throughout the units. The successful candidate will exercise sound and independent judgement in support of the Dean; build strong and cooperative relationships with the University community; perform tasks and responsibilities that maximize the effectiveness of the Dean and Assistant Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education; and independently manage the day-to-day workflow and projects within the Office of the Dean (DUE).
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performing complex, varied and confidential administrative functions in support of the DUE.
Prioritizing and addressing activities of the office and working as a liaison between the DUE and UGE personnel and between the DUE and individuals from the university's administrative offices and diverse groups of external constituents.
Providing management of the DUE's Office operating budget including monitoring spending, oversight of expenditures and preparing appropriate financial reports.
Assisting in the coordination, implementation, and completion of projects established by the DUE and the Office of the DUE, maintaining project plans that track tasks and milestone dates.
Creating and maintaining reports that effectively communicate the status of projects to a variety of stakeholders and project teams.
The Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Education (DUE) encompasses university services and programs that shape, support, and enhance the undergraduate educational experience and includes the following units: Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Education (DUE), UB Curriculum: General Education (UBC), the University Honors College (Honors), the Center for Excellence in Writing (CEW), and the Experiential Learning Network (ELN).
UGE provides critical university functions in management of undergraduate curriculum and related academic policies; supports the delivery of a broad and integrated 21st century general education to all UB undergraduates; develops and delivers co-curricular programs, which enhance the undergraduate education experience; and provides enhanced undergraduate curriculum and services for university Honors scholars.

Bachelor's degree with 1 year experience and competencies in the following areas:
Proficient with Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel.
