This position, in partnership with clinical and administrative leaders, provides oversight, leadership, and coordination of a large, highly complex clinical improvement portfolio, including work on multiple strategic clinical programs that positions the organization to be a leader in providing customer obsessed, high quality reliable clinical care, and make it easy for providers to care for our customers.
Directs system-level clinical process improvement, supporting a culture of change, ensuring evidence-based standard outcomes and achievement of clinical improvement goals and effective integration into operations. Leads successful implementations of clinical activities across a diverse set of operating entities; ensuring differences of scales and scope across the organization.
Directs the portfolio of work for the clinical consensus groups through incorporating organizational strategies, performance opportunities and other organizational focus areas along with evidence-based clinical research.
Manages the resources and coordinates the efforts as clinical practices are defined and designed by clinical process improvement teams. Ensures any regulatory, compliance and accrediting body requirements are met. Oversees the phases of improvement on clinical practices, policies and order sets using project management methodologies.
Builds and supports effective collegial relationships with applicable internal and external stakeholders, ensuring and fostering a high level of collaboration in order to develop partnerships, coordinate activities, review work, exchange information, and/or resolve problems. Promotes and models positive relationships among various entities.
Must be able to influence and motivate both clinical and non-clinical leaders to drive decision making. Collaborates with and motivates others to achieve program/project goals and objectives.
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Banner Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.
Must possess a strong business and project management knowledge and/or healthcare as normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelors degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field.
Must demonstrate a strong clinical/science background as normally demonstrated with 5 to 7 years of experience in a progressively responsible capacity or an equivalent combination of relevant education, business, technical and healthcare experience. Must have a high tolerance for ambiguity and ability to manage and facilitate large-scale, high-profile projects and plans in a complex and fast-paced healthcare setting. This includes demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex problems through innovative solutions. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as team building skills required to lead, influence and motivate others at all levels in the organization as well as other community physicians.
Must demonstrate strong personal computer skills including extensive experience with office desktop applications.
Masters degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
