The Office of Innovation is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Partnerships & Alliances
The University of Cincinnati's Office of Innovation is located at the University's new 133,000 square foot 1819 Innovation Hub. Part of its mission is to ignite a thriving uptown innovation district, populated with large corporate partners, fast-moving startups, and globally competitive talent spanning executives down to student interns. Under general supervision from the Chief Innovation Officer, the Assistant Vice President will be responsible for directing and administering the advancement of strategic partnerships and alliances for The Office of Innovation.
Proactively engage opportunities by connecting with companies and their partners to drive the prospect pipeline
Lead identification of overlapping company target list and 1819 strategy to unearthing optimal national and global targets
Oversee the optimization of the UC internal and external network to proactively engage opportunities; leverage research and analysis to build a custom approach
Oversee competitive analyses of the national and global innovation district landscape to ensure UC's point of differentiation and competitive advantage
Drive awareness and affinity for UC Innovation Hub/1819 brand on both a targeted and national scope by developing an integrated marketing communications strategy
Foster a brand culture that celebrates partnership and unique programming to bolster current and future alliances
Direct and oversee marketing communications executions and both traditional and non-traditional media/marketing strategies, resources or materials
Create and oversee the development of unique programming and branded events that engage current partners, partners across categories and targets
Oversee and have accountability for all budgetary and financial activities (marketing or partnership/alliance development related) and processes
Provide direct supervision to any external agencies or resources as needed
Hire and manage the necessary personnel to execute; provide direct supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (e.g. hiring process, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, time off approval, etc.)
Perform related duties based on departmental need
Bachelor's degree with seven (7) years experience; -OR- Associate's degree with nine (9) years experience; -OR- eleven (11) years of experience.
Experience must be in field of expertise and include at least three (3) years supervision.
