Department Description The UC Davis Health Patient Contact Center is a developing service area tasked with providing the highest possible levels of patient / customer service to consumers seeking services or information within the health system. THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the PCC Director, Administrative Officer III performs activities focused on the analysis, support and monitoring of clinic operations, performance and improvement. Ongoing responsibilities will include assessment, analysis, design, implementation and measurement of process improvements associated with clinic service, efficiency and quality. The Administrative Officer III provides training and educational in-services on various subjects to division staff and management. Incumbent provides strategic planning, analytical, program development and project management support for a variety of complex operational and service initiatives. Required Qualifications
Excellent change management skills to effectively lead personnel through change process.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of outpatient clinic operations, including how the various workflows are affected by and impact the Epic EHR system.
Skill to facilitate meetings including preparations of agenda content and presentations.
Analytical skills to effectively comprehend complex information and data, draw conclusions, develop and evaluate alternatives, develop solutions and monitor process.
Knowledge of health care issues and current operating climate, including managed care, capitation, JCAHO, NCQA and Title 22.
Knowledge of overall Health System operations and specific services provided within each setting.
Thorough understanding of outpatient clinic operations.
Skill to exercise tact, courtesy, negotiation, facilitation and diplomacy when dealing with individuals at any level within or outside the University.
