The Rodeph Sholom School seeks a Director for their makerspace program, the Creation Lab. The RSS Creation Lab acts as a space to blend together high-and low-tech tools as well as fostering resilience and critical thinking skills through project-based STEAM learning. The Director of the Creation Lab is responsible for teaching the Digital Arts class for fifth - eighth grade students, collaborating with teachers on cross-curricular projects, designing projects for the Elementary Division and managing the Creation Lab’s space, budget, materials and equipment. The Director of the Creation Lab will serve on the Middle School Division Faculty and also act as an academic advisor.
The ideal candidate demonstrates a commitment to maker education and has experience in the following areas:
3D printers, vinyl and laser cutters
Programmable embroidery machine
Creative coding projects
Adobe Creative Suite
