Anderson University and the College of Arts and Sciences invite applications for a full-time, nine-month professorship in Communication beginning in August 2020. A terminal degree in Communication or related discipline from a regionally accredited institution is preferred, but those with a master’s degree and considerable experience in digital media will be considered. Experience teaching at the undergraduate level is also preferred. Screening will begin immediately and continue until the job is filled. Faculty rank and status will be determined at the time of appointment based upon degree, experience, and record of scholarship.

The Communication major is one of AU’s fastest growing majors, especially in digital media. Candidates should have expertise in various forms of digital media and studio production. Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud software is a plus. Teaching web design and social media management is helpful as well. The director of digital media position would involve teaching studio and documentary video production, managing production in Chiquola Studio and our digital media lab, guiding undergraduate research projects, and advising communication majors.
